I made this special card for my son who has been going through a lot the past few months.

He lives far away from me and I love him to pieces.

Just want to remind him he is always in my heart and mind every single day.

We are on the final week of our current challenge over at

Our theme is Mother's Day / For Someone Special Feminine

Not everyone has a Mom to make cards for so I wanted to include any special females in your life.

On my card I used our sponsor, PJ Moore Illustrations

CIC 568 Week 1

Wow, it's May already!

This challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations

is to celebrate our Mother's and or Special Female's in our lives.

This is going to be my first Mother's Day since losing my Mom.

In honor of her, I made this card.  You may say, what does this have to do with her?

Her favorite hobby was oil painting.  She loved it so much!

My siblings and I have her paintings around our houses.

When I saw our sponsor PJ Moore Illlustrations had this adorable image,

I asked if we could highlight it and Tricia was so kind so agree.

I also used an old Stampin Up stamp set for the paint stripes & sentiment.

So, that is the story behind my card.

It was so fun to make and sad at the same time.

Today I made this birthday card using the colors

for our new challenge over at 

Cupcake Inspiration Challenges

Orange, Pink & Yellow

I used an old stamp set from long ago.

The stripe looks crooked in the photo.  It is not in person LOL.

I absolutely couldn't get the card to lay crooked.

Oh well, you'll just have to believe me. Optical illusion.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest the other day.
